Janelle Pillard, MSPA, PA-C is a professor of Public Health in the College of Health and Human Services. She received her degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Janelle teaches medical pathology and clinical medicine during the didactic phase of the MPAS program.

Courses Taught

Medical Pathology

This course will examine the underlying biochemical, cellular, and physiological changes which occur in human disease. Emphasis will be placed on the most common conditions. This course integrates general pathology and laboratory medicine to prepare the student for the clinical medicine course.

Clinical Medicine I

Instruction in the fundamental clinical skills necessary for patient care. Primary focus is on learning to perform a complete physical examination. In addition, the student will learn critical reasoning skills necessary to integrate pertinent physical exam findings with differential diagnoses.

Clinical Medicine II

Instruction in the fundamental clinical skills necessary for patient care. Primary focus is on learning to perform a complete physical examination. In addition, the student will learn critical reasoning skills necessary to integrate pertinent physical exam findings with differential diagnoses.
