Midwestern hospitality was on full display this past week as more than 300 gathered on St. Ambrose University’s campus to celebrate and honor the ten-year papacy of Pope Francis. This 3-day international conference, titled Francis at Ten: A Papacy of Possibilities, began as the hushed audience listened intently as a letter was read from Pope Francis to the attendees.

Charles DCamp, PhD, professor emeritus and director emeritus in the St. Ambrose University Music Department, passed away Wednesday, January 25. He was 90. DCamp was a member of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1974 to 1995 until his retirement and is fondly remembered by all.
