Arts Scholarship eligibility details
Art Scholarship details
Art Scholarships are given to art majors and art minors who show exemplary talent in their artwork. Students are required to submit a portfolio to be considered for this award. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis, but preference is given to those who submit before March 10 each year.
Student eligibility and selection criteria:
- Acceptance and enrollment in SAU’s Bachelor of Arts in Art program
- Submission of an art portfolio, including 10-12 original works of art/design that show the breadth of your technical and creative skills. A strong portfolio will contain a diverse sampling of the major media you’ve worked with. Consider showing stylistic variety, and plan to include 2-4 pieces in your area of specialty.
Multiple students receive Art Scholarships each year. Art department faculty review student portfolios and choose recipients prior to the start of each academic year.
Art Scholarships are disbursed following a straightforward process:
- The Art Department shares a list of recipients with Financial Services.
- Disbursement occurs at the beginning of each year.
- Funds are directly credited to your account and applied toward tuition.
