SAU Receives "Best in the Midwest" Recognition

08/08/2019

St. Ambrose University is one of the best colleges in the Midwest, according to The Princeton Review® (www.PrincetonReview.com). The education services company lists St. Ambrose in the Best in the Midwest section of its "2020 Best Colleges: Region by Region" website at https://www.princetonreview.com/bestMWcolleges.

The website features 656 colleges that The Princeton Review recommends over five regions: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West, and International. The 159 colleges that made the "Best in the Midwest" list are within twelve Midwestern states.

"We chose St. Ambrose University and the other outstanding institutions on this list primarily for their academics," said Robert Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. He noted the company considered data from its survey of college administrators, visits to the schools, and feedback from college counselors, advisors, and students.

The profile on SAU includes comments from students, who talked about the challenging academics and support from "caring faculty and staff." One first-year student noted most of the professors had offered students "their home and cell phone numbers in case we cannot reach them in the office. They are willing to help you in any way academically and otherwise."
