Education and Training

  • MA, Western Illinois University, Communication
  • BS, University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Broadcast Journalism

My approach to teaching is unique because I continue to practice in the professional areas of media, marketing public relations, and the digital space. I spent the first 30 years of my career in the television news, organizational, and marketing public relations categories. My goal is to provide my students with real-world skills in the areas of media, public relations, and digital space so that students are competitive job seekers in these growing communications industries. The stronger your portfolio, the better chances of getting a PR position after graduation.
