This fall, SAU welcomes wrestlers to campus for the first time ever – and to a new wrestling facility.

This 6,000 square foot addition is located on the south side of the current football locker room at the St. Vincent Athletics Complex. It will include two locker rooms (about 80 lockers total), four coach offices, and three full-size wrestling mats. This will serve as the practice facility for the SAU wrestling team, and competitions will be hosted in Lee Lohman Arena. Construction should be complete in October 2021.

Head Wrestling Coach Bo Bettinson is excited to begin training in the new facility. Coach Bettinson comes to SAU from Montana State University Northern where he was assistant coach. He is a 2015 graduate from Waldorf College (University), where he also was a wrestler. Bettinson begins his coaching career at St. Ambrose with a strong recruiting class; he currently has 19 official commits ranging from Illinois, Iowa, Montana, and Nevada.
