The Silent March in remembrance of civil rights heroes of previous years is an annual rite of Civil Rights Week at St. Ambrose University.

"St. Ambrose has a long legacy of being involved in Civil Rights work and action," said Tim Phillips, PhD, the SAU Dean of Students and a co-director of the Diversity Work Group. "We feel like this is an annual reminder to re-energize our mission."

March celebrates MLK Boulevard

This year's March on Jan. 19 led to the section of Marquette Street that was renamed Martin Luther King Boulevard a few years ago, thanks in large part to the efforts of the St. Ambrose Diversity Work Group.
