On Feb. 16, St. Ambrose announced an agreement with the University of Iowa Law School that will allow pre-law students at St. Ambrose to complete both undergraduate and law studies in six years.
Building upon a successful pre-law studies program, St. Ambrose has secured the 3+3 program partnership with the University of Iowa that will allow eligible St. Ambrose undergraduate students admission to the College of Law at the conclusion of their junior year.
"St. Ambrose students preparing for law careers will now be able to realize significant savings of both time and money through this agreement," said Sister Joan Lescinski, CSJ, PhD, president of St. Ambrose. "St. Ambrose is very pleased to be able to offer this valuable opportunity to our pre-law students."
Gail Agrawal, dean of the UI College of Law, said the program presents an opportunity for Iowa's public law school to be a resource for colleges and universities in Iowa.
"The 3+3 agreement with Iowa Law is an opportunity for students who come to St. Ambrose with firm career goals and a strong sense of self-discipline," said Joe Hebert, professor of political science and leadership studies and director of pre-law studies at St. Ambrose. "It is an outgrowth of past matriculation success and builds on an established relationship and mutual respect for one another's programs."
