Tell us about some of the professional opportunities that have presented themselves while you've attended SAU. How will you use those?
One of the professional opportunities that was presented to me while I attended SAU is an internship in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. I will use this experience in my future by using the knowledge that I learned in patient care in my future career. Another professional opportunity I have had is an etiquette dinner. This experience will help me in my future when I have to go to interviews, conduct meetings, or parties at an establishment that requires proper eating etiquette.

Another opportunity I had was attending career fairs. It has allowed me to network with companies and gain important career knowledge for my future.

What was a defining moment or very memorable experience you had as a student in the Department of Kinesiology?
A defining moment I had as a student in the Department of Kinesiology was going through my exercise physiology course. Getting to take anatomy and physiology a step further and learn how the body reacts to different stimulus was the moment when I knew that I had made the right choice in my undergraduate education. I was falling more in love with the human body and how it worked with every class period.

What drew you initially to our department? Has that motivation changed over the course of the four years you've been at St. Ambrose?
What drew me initially to the department was looking here to potentially go for physical therapy school eventually. Through looking at St. Ambrose the Kinesiology department stood out to me as it deals with the body and how it moves and that was something that I found interesting.

What advice might you give to a prospective student considering the Dept. of Kinesiology at SAU?
The advice I would give to a prospective student considering the Department of Kinesiology at SAU is that do not let the size of our campus fool you, this department will give you an amazing education with professors that go above and beyond and truly care that we succeed.

What advice might you give to someone just starting their required departmental coursework?
The advice I would give to someone starting the bulk of their required departmental coursework is to not be afraid to speak up if you are confused and need help. The professors love when you come into their office hours and ask questions, it allows them to get to know you while also helping you under-stand the information.

How did your affiliation with St. Ambrose help you in your job search or graduate school search?
My affiliation with St. Ambrose helped me in my graduate school search in several ways. First, I had great advisors that helped point out good physical therapy programs. Secondly, my education here allowed me to have a great background knowledge that helped me have better interviews at physical therapy schools. Finally, St. Ambrose was even well-known all the way down in Texas; several schools specifically talked about Ambrose and how they create great graduates.
