What is a multimedia communication degree?

Our Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Communication program focuses on developing your technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking to produce content across a variety of platforms. You’ll develop proficiency in industry-standard software used in media production. Our program prepares you to develop creative concepts and produce multimedia content that engages audiences. Professors will challenge you to think outside of the box, and student media provides you hands-on experiences from day one.

What you'll learn in your communications program.

Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll dive deeper into video techniques, voice work, and editing. Faculty and staff will push you to work independently while supporting your efforts to develop informative video and audio productions.

  • Mastery of industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Audacity 
  • Expertise in storytelling and communication, crafting compelling narratives that engage audiences across diverse platforms
  • Proficiency in use of audio and video equipment including microphones, sound boards, and video cameras
  • Ability to apply ethical principles to editorial choices
