Enactus is an international organization that connects students, academic, and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects. The group aims to empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.

Guided by academic advisors and business experts, the student leaders of Enactus create and carry out entrepreneurial projects around the globe. The experience transforms lives and helps students develop the talent and perspective that is essential to leadership in an ever-more complicated and challenging world.

Our mission, as the SAU Enactus team, is to empower the community through entrepreneurial action and improve the livelihoods of those around us in an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable way.

SAU Enactus members helped launch a skateboard manufacturing business, developed a recycling plan for area parks, improved social media marketing for regional businesses, worked with the Main Street Iowa program to improve the business community, and designed and remodeled local special needs classrooms. Our members have competed at regionals in Chicago and at nationals in St. Louis.

Each semester Enactus runs a virtual career fair that includes Fortune 500 employers.

The club also partners with the SAU Engineering Club in a unique business called Design Hive. Students run this laser-engraving business that designs, creates, and sells ornaments and other items to the St. Ambrose community. Read about one of our recent Design Hive projects.

We are active members of the Sustainability Committee which is leading SAU's sustainability initiatives and promoting stewardship of the natural environment.
