Career Outcomes

Nursing Demand and Earning Potential

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the nursing field to grow by 15 percent by 2026, one of the fastest-growing fields in the nation. And with that, it will be more important for nurses to be well-educated and well-compensated. Payscale data from 2014 showed that while the median wage of an RN without a bachelor’s degree was around $39,000, the median for a nurse with a BSN was around $69,000.

Where Grads Work

Ambrose alumni can be found working in healthcare facilities near and far. Approximately half of nursing graduates practice in the region, in institutions such as Genesis Health System and the University of Iowa. Other grads have travelled as far as Alaska, Arizona, Florida, and Texas. Employers of our graduates include Mayo Clinic Health System, Baylor University and Rush University Medical Center.
