The Master of Public Health program at St. Ambrose University has achieved accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and public health programs.
Paul Kealey, keynote speaker and Chief Operating Officer of the NLIHC, noted the grim reality in his opening remarks. The U.S. has a national shortage of 7 million affordable and available rental homes for the nation's 11 million extremely low rental income households.
St. Ambrose University students gathered at the 14th Annual Undergraduate Scholars Conference in early May to answer these and other intriguing questions as they shared the results of their scholarly work.
Culminating with her senior year role as vice president, Laura Meloy spent the past three years on the Student Government Association (SGA); participating on the SAU Model United Nations team, including her work as the organization's president this past year; and as a dogged pursuer of news for the student newspaper, The Buzz.
Peitscher said his master's studies at St. Ambrose taught him new ways to learn. "The courses have made me a better listener. They showed me the value of asking the right questions."
