Theatre Scholarship details
Theatre Scholarships are given to students who participate in the Theatre program and who show exemplary talent in their work.
Student eligibility and selection criteria:
- Acceptance and enrollment in one of SAU’s Bachelor programs.
- Commitment to declare theatre as a minor and participate in theatre programming.
- Submission of an introduction video and either a one-minute monologue (for performers) or an example of your work (for technicians or designers).
Multiple students receive Theatre Scholarships each year. Theatre department faculty review student applications and choose recipients prior to the start of each academic year.
Theatre Scholarships are disbursed following a straightforward process:
- The Theatre Department shares a list of recipients with Financial Services.
- Disbursement occurs at the beginning of each year.
- Funds are directly credited to your account and applied toward tuition.

How to apply for an Theatre Scholarship
Applying for a scholarship is easy. Follow these steps.
Apply to SAU
To qualify for a Theatre Scholarship, you need to apply to a Bachelor program at SAU and participate in the Theatre program. Complete the application and enroll at SAU.
Prepare your materials
All applicants should prepare an introduction video and a sample of their work. Performers should prepare a video with a one-minute monologue. Technicians and designers should prepare to upload an example of their work.
Submit your application
In your application, specify whether you want to audition in-person or virtually. A member of our Theatre Department will be in touch!
