Wendi provides office support for the Physical Therapy Department.
Bryon Ballantyne, PT, PhD
Teaches human gross anatomy and functional anatomy as well as evidence-based practice. His clinical experiences have varied but are mainly in the area of outpatient orthopaedics.
Amy Blair, PhD
Teaches topics ranging from plant and animal anatomy and physiology to population and community ecology.
Dana Dailey, PT, PhD
Dr. Dailey teaches introduction to therapeutic exercise, functional anatomy, applied anatomy and physiology, pain science and education, professional practice and PT procedures II, and the capstone portfolio project.

Professor Emeritus who taught introductory biology as well as cell and molecular biology.
Amy Kueny
Dr. Kueny is an Instructor for the Physical Therapy Department, teaching courses for first-year students including gross anatomy, pathology, and evidence-based practice. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with experience practicing in outpatient orthopedics.
Kari Miller, PT, DPT, EdD
Dr. Miller teaches orthotics and prosthetics, functional anatomy, and geriatrics.
Michael Puthoff, PT, PhD
Dr. Puthoff is a professor of Physical Therapy and Dean of Graduate Studies.
Justin Rice, PhD
Dr. Rice is an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department, specializing in anatomy and physiology.
Dennis Tarasi, PhD
Dr. Tarasi teaches introductory biology courses for majors and non-majors, environmental science, and upper level biology courses. His specialty is community ecology and invasive species biology
Robert Wiederien, DPT
Dr. Wiederien teaches core physical therapy courses for the DPT program.
Neil Aschliman, PhD
Teaches Biology courses in human anatomy and physiology, vertebrate biology, and biological literature.

Dr. Barr is professor emeritus for the DPT program.
Amanda Bohnert
Bohnert has a broad background in several areas including biology, genetics, animal behavior, anatomy, ecology, and environmental science. She teaches introductory Biology courses as well as electives such as forensics.
Colleen Doak
A faculty member in the Master of Public Health program, Dr. Doak researches how public health messages impact the physical and social health of a community.

Dr. Halfhill is continuing his interest in the expression of transgene marker technologies, and is currently involved in the development of transgenic systems for educational purposes.

Dr. Peters teaches several classes in Anatomy and Physiology, a non-majors course focusing on humans and disease, and a major course focusing on animal and plant structure and function.
Nora Riley, PT, PhD
Dr. Riley teaches the neurological content throughout the DPT curriculum.
Melissa Sharer

Erica Thomas, DHEd, CHES
Teaches nutrition and wellness concepts courses, as well as exercise physiology lab.
Rebecca Arnold
Rebecca Arnold, MPH, brings 20 years of global health experience, from grassroots to national levels. Areas of expertise include social and behavior change; capacity strengthening; and management and leadership.
Ruby Batimana
Batimana is currently serving as the Evaluator for the SAMHSA grant in partnership with The Robert Young Center/UnityPoint. She also teaches for Orion Technical College.

Malia Duffy, MSN-FNP, MSPH
Malia Duffy is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Public Health. She earned degrees from Simmons College, Johns Hopkins University, and Harvard University where she was a Presidential Scholar.
Lynn Frank, PT, DPT
Collaborates in implementing individual student plans for clinical education, assists with neuromuscular therapeutics and coordinates the course on management of the medically complex patient. Her clinical practice includes acute care and neuro rehabilitation.
Jill Hipskind, PT, DPT
Dr. Hipskind teaches musculoskeletal therapeutics to students within the DPT program.
Kirk Kelley, PhD
Teaches courses in human anatomy and physiology as well as a course on the biology and culture of the French Alps. He also directs the department’s program in cadaver dissection.

Katie Powers, DPT, PCS, C/NDT
Dr. Powers teaches core content in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program with a specialty in Pediatrics.
Kristin Ryan, PT, DPT
Teaches Professional Seminar, clinical education courses, seating, and positioning as well as the lymphedema content of the curriculum. Her clinical practice ranges from acute care to outpatient, focuses on evaluating clients in a wheelchair clinic, treating patients with lymphedema and in outpatient neurological rehab.
Erin Sodawasser-Hermiston
Erin Sodawasser-Hermistion is the Clinical Instructor for the Applied Practicum Experience in the Master of Public Health Program.
Nathan Steffens, PhD
Dr. Steffens teaches introductory microbiology courses. He specializes in the ecology and evolution of infectious disease.
